Frank
Frank Roland seems to be making his hands into moose antlers here.
Sometimes I like to post puzzling pictures, and this would be one of those. I think I did a series of guys in trees, btw. Click the "trees" tag at right.
I understand what you mean and also thought about bound hands. It just occurred to me that the model may be about the grip the dead branch to move it or something. If Ferrero knew we were puzzling over this 55 years later, he'd probably chuckle.
Weird as this POS might be, I like this shot best. He's a good looker, we can see him clearly. Maybe Ferrero snapped it before the man could move the branch. Who knows?
That stick has got us thinking... Slightly awkward pose that does display Frank's arms rather well. Also, emerging from the shadows, his rather beautiful foreskin.
The hands are the weird thing. The stick is supposed to be a branch. (Another thing to consider: Nudes in trees.)

ReplyDeleteI think Ferrero might have been going for weird . . . or perhaps liked it that way when he developed it. I agree about moving the branch, btw.
DeleteThat should be "pose."

ReplyDeleteThis one is indeed a puzzler, but you did manage to find an understandable point of interest, lol.
DeleteHa, yes. But it is quite a remarkable one.
