New York Week, Day 7 - Earle Forbes

Well, when it came to the last slot in my New York week posts, I had to chose between Edwin Townsend and Earle Forbes, both excellent photographers.  I went with Mr. Forbes because I had more high quality photos by him than Mr. Townsend, who will get a future standalone popup set.

    1. A personal all time favorite since the day I first saw it.

  2. That is as sensational a photograph as it is architecture - both using light. That is what happens when talent collides with talent.

  3. Great image, as if in a cathedral of light.
It's like those cloudy days and the rays of the sun pierce through the clouds
and it looks as though God himself is reaching out to us.
I imagine Earle Forbes himself walked through that grand concourse, off to see another bodybuilder for a posing session or finding some well-built man in the crowd and talking him into a posing session.
Grand Central Station and Earle Forbes, legends of New York City.

  4. There is one small detail which is outstanding, how a man on the lower right while fully in shadow, whatever he is reading is fully illuminated.
If that was by chance, then miracles do happens...
