Trio
This trio is from a group of photos Earle Forbes did of groups of nude men in sports scenes.
I mistook another of those for an FKK nudist picture earlier this year.
I always thought it was a German photograph at a FKK resort or perhaps one of those sylvan settings in Scandinavia. They sure look Germanic/Scandic, with their haircuts and their athletic bodies. Did Forbes ever travel to Europe? He may very well have gone to Germany. Then there's that medicine ball their playing with, maybe that's a clue. Would it be the type seen in America or Europe? Calorman is right about the shutter work, considering how slow camera shutters were in those days compared to even the 50s and 60s. Shutter speeds then were what 200-300? I don't think they hit 500 til the late 50s and 1000 in the late 60s with the curtain shutter. Those are three handsome men. The one on the left has a nice ass, the one in the middle a beautiful full body tan and the one on the right, like the others a good physique. - Rj/IE
En France, nous avons une histoire du naturisme qui remonte a 1920. Des hommes tels que de Mongeot, Lastours et les freres Derville en ont ete les pionniers. Les freres Derville ont construit le celebre havre naturiste Heliopolis sue I'Ile de Levante. Les adorateurs du soleil et de l'air frais etaient autorises a faire ce qu'ils voulaient dans un environnement receptif. La France a officiellement reconnu le naturisme en 1936. Des scenes comme l'image ci-dessus etaient courantes a cettte epoque. Les beaux hommes ci-dessus me semblent nordiques. Les naturisme est une affaire de gout personnel.

It sure does have an FKK flavour to it. The tan lines on the man in the middle look like he sunbathed in a jock or very skimpy trunks.
ReplyDeleteRiebicke comes to mind as inspiration for this, but I don't know if his work was available in the USA at the time. Maybe Forbes visited Germany.
