Arax
Fully nude duos by Arax Studio of Paris are quite rare, so I had to use this shot of Charles Klejniak of Belgium and Hubert Thomas of England from a London bodybuilding competition in 1954.
Photo from the NABBA 1950 Mr Universe contest held at the Scala Theater in London June 24 1950. Called the greatest physique show, officiated by Bob Woolger and stage managed by Laurie Webb. Among the six judges led by George Walsh, were Arax and Hackenschmidt. Athletes from the Health and Strength League held a gymnastics display, and bodybuilders from the St George Athletic Club presented a tableau show of classical poses. The Mr Universe competition was fierce with the likes of Steve Reeves, Reg Park, John Lees, Oscar Heidenstam, Reuben Martin, Juan Ferrero, Jean Ladeuze and Don Dorans. Steve Reeves was the Winner. Hubert Thomas had been Mr Wales 1949 and Mr Britain 1950, and Charles Kleijniak had been Mr Belgium Apollo 1949. Thomas, Kleijniak and Arax, the best of Britain, Belgium and France🇬🇧🇧🇪🇫🇷
