At work

Our last image shows Albert Londe at work in his outdoor studio
which resembled that used by Eadweard Muybridge.

  1. Fascinating historically AND for us males who appreciate the male body and male equipment. When they did these anatomical photos and motion gifs, what were they looking at/for? I assume homosexuality was not involved, or was it?

    1. Londe's photography helped produce some profound progress in medicine. Although I rarely post it, his work showing various pathologies was used for cutting edge education and research. The anatomical and movement studies I routinely post are more aesthetically pleasing, but also had a practical purpose. And no, homosexuality really nad nothing to do with it.

  2. Is that an anvil I see? Did Mr. Londe capture any "blacksmiths" hammering, like the GIF that has gone around the Web for eons uncounted?-Dee Exx

    1. Yes, he did, but Muybridge's are much better known. Muybridge somehow induced real smiths to work nude, and they were named Redinger and Breen.
      What fine specimens they were!
