Anyone who has followed this blog for very long knows what a big fan I am of the work of Dave Martin. Bryan B sent me enough "new" material for several series, so I'm starting today with named models. (The unknowns will show up in a month or so.) First up is Ralph Blumenthal.

ReplyDeleteSubject to censorship and persecution in the 1950’s, the physique photos by Martin also faced censorship in 2017 when an auction house had to deal with auction websites refusing to show the physique photos. Attitudes towards images of nude men haven’t changed that much….:\
I have noticed more and more online vintage resale websites censoring male nudes, even derriere shots. The race to the bottom is being led by eBay, fwiw.
