Bill Bramlett
Bill Bramlett was a sergeant in the U.S Army when he posed for Lyle Frisby.
We'll probably never know the details, but several physique photographers are reported to have said that they got word of mouth model referrals from military circles. Bob Mizer in particular is quoted as saying that some of them were flattered to be asked to pose, even though many knew the photos would be pitched to gays.
It only goes to show that there have always been exceptions to the usual cultural norms, even in some of the most unexpected groups. "There's this guy in LA who'll pay you to get your picture taken naked, and he has a pet monkey."
cute sergeant!
ResponderEliminarConsidering his military rank I'd be curious to know the reason he decided to pose.

EliminarThat is really interesting considering the times.

EliminarThis is so cool. I’d love to talk to someone with first hand accounts from those times. bns
