A hot rodder in our family had one of these from the late 1950’s into the early 1960’s. He would go to the junkyards along the 5 freeway and pick a part away ! Finned aluminum brakes from a Buick, a hemi-head V-8 from a Chrysler and numerous parts from other cars. It seemed as soon as a hot rodder got a hotrod as they wanted it, either Uncle Sam called or a wedding was in the works and the hotrod had to go….:)
