What a sight, naked men and white horses as far as the eye can see!

  1. Wow. Amazing... I think I'm right in thinking that taking horses a a cooling dip is stiil a standard thing. And, certainly in the past, it was usual and prctical for the riders to be naked. I do hope this still happens..

    1. Most horses do tend to like getting into the water when it's possible.

    1. That was my first thought, but I don't think it is. I also have no proof, either way.

  4. I have seen this before but with no identification as to what is going on. Whatever it is it's quite remarkable.

  5. Elite calalry units often had horses that were all the same color. It made for a more impressive sight. After maneuvers, riding your horse into the nearest river was a good way to cool it down and to bathe it. The Polish soidier and photographer Narcyz Witczak-Witaczyński photo-documented Polish cavalry units in the 1920's-30s. This looks like it might have been one of his photos. I have a lirge photo for the 1st Cavalry Rgt in Warsaw I can send you if you want. Sorry, no nudes in it but they are all on white horses.
