Handsome Ad Man

Here we see a handsome man whose job it was to carry a sign strapped to his back around Paris in 1912.  He was promoting a play called "The Man Who Saw the Devil."  Had I been in town,
I would have gawked at the man and totally missed the ad's message.

  1. Grand Guignol 1897-1962
Une combinaison d’horreur macabre et de farce.
Very popular in its day, changing attitudes and public taste, motion pictures and télévision brought about the demise of Grand Guignol.
Today there is interest in reviving it.

  2. I would be following him all around. I saw a revival of a Grand Guignol play in London in 2014, not for everyone's taste.
