Just as a reminder, here is a "new" picture I found of the original recovered statues.
I saw them in person 19 months ago, and yes, they were found off of the Calabrian coast. They're MUCH more impressive in person! I took several photos, and even a video, before I was told that it was prohibited. (but I still have the short video!). Found this quite by accident, just happened to be visiting Reggio di Calabria. 🤞🏾🥇🏛️

ReplyDeleteToo bad they don't allow photography. The Italian museums I've visited were OK with it as long as no flash was used.
