Barton Mumaw
The only derriere shot in today's set is of Barton Mumaw, a dancer of great skill
who worked with Ted Shawn for years. It was while associated with Mr. Shawn
that Earle Forbes' photographic career really got under way.
I've seen video of him dancing. Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire have nothing on him, they would be embarrassed!
ReplyDeleteGene Kelly looked great in motion, but his style was more muscular than graceful, imho.
