Edwin Townsend took this demure, but still impressive, photo.

The lighting is exceptional.

would have designed for himself on one of his silent drag movies.

Ordinary Average Nudist Guys

Today's series features ten ordinary average nudist guys, starting 

with a fellowwho looks like he is posed for a beauty pageant.

I cropped this guy out of a group of females hanging off a farm gate.

 

Woodland

Whatever it is that these two are doing,

they're doing at the edge of a woodland.

 

Sand

Not the clearest photo, but I like this guy standing on the sand.

 

Splinters

I hope he doesn't get splinters in his bum from that dead tree.

 

Necklace

The necklace this guy is wearing holds tokens that supposedly

indicate which contests he had participated in.  Nudists

in the 1960s were always having pageants and games.

 

Farmer

Ths smoker looks more like a farmer to me, but I did find him on a nudist website.

I suppose he could be both a nudist and a farmer.  Why not?

I found this one on a vintage Australian naturist website.

 

Doug Adams

Doug Adams is getting splashed from two directions in the 

notorious AMG shower in the final picture of the series.

Mr. Boots

I've posted Mr. Boots in several solo photos from the same desert photo shoot.
This time he's with a friend who is in regular shoes.  Boots offer some

useful protection from rattlesnakes in such areas.

Bulldog Center

For those of you who don't know, this guy is in the center position, i.e. the guy who snaps the ball

a pioneering gay publishing and merchandising company.

I have no name, alas, for the handsome model.

I think that's some sort of fish net those two are fooling around with.

The man on the diving board is positioned to have his backside turned directly

 at the camera rather than for diving.  Glad he got is priorities right.

These happy fellow seem to be standing on a mostly sunken boat.

Twin Moons

I recall reading a scifi novel years ago called The Twin Moons.

I really like the contrasting segment blocks in this shot of an unknown, to me anyway.

Karlheinz Weinberger II

Karlheinz Weinberger (1921-2006) was a Swiss warehouse worker who photographed gay men, bikers, and hooligans in his spare time in Zurich.  One doesn't think of staid Zurich as much of a place for hooligans, but Mr. Weinberger did several shows on that theme in that city.  Having been there twice, I can tell you that they do have a very active and diverse gay scene.  Anyway, today we will look at ten more images by this quirky and interesting photographer, beginning with this guy who gives me a Rod Stewart vibe.  Must be the hairdo.

Portrait

Although quite good as a portrait photographer, Mr. Weinberger didn't do 

too many of them.  This is one of my favorites by him of the type.

 

Wallpaper

I can't decide if the floral wallpaper is a distraction 

or a good counterpoint to the model.

 

Smile

One doesn't see many smiling Weinberger models,

and that makes this one even more special.

 

Levis

This fellow is popping out of his Levis in a way that will like please many of you.

 

Bison

Color work by this photographer is rare, so I checked to see if this had been colorized later.  

I was pleased to find that it had not, and that the model's name is Oliver Sieber.

Poofy Hair

When he wasn't photographing hooligans, bikers, or gays, Karlheinz Weinberger would go to wrestling matches and bodybuilding competitions.  This is an example of the latter, and I can't help but wonder if the central figure was chosen for that poofy hair.  It does make him stand out.
