I remember the 59 Mercury Commuter, 65 Pontiac Safari and 72 Buick Estate. Big and safe! Until the gas crises put an end to 30 cent a gal gas. They were best small because of the very narrow country lanes. We tended to call them "shooting brakes" after the English upper-class love of killing things for fun. (Dame Edna Everage - Australian comedienne, social commentator and confidante of the late Queen - once spotted a Morris Minor driving by in the High Street of Stratford-upon-Avon and said to camera, "Possums, a thatched car!") I remember happy hours in Wiltshire in the Austumn filling them up with firewood for the Winter. Unfortunately, neither came with a naked man.Calormannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6524340241288844456.post-11710269374045656542023-01-05T03:51:05.861-10:002023-01-05T03:51:05.861-10:00Naked is the ONLY way to camp!Naked is the ONLY way to camp!Big Dudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02118746091579056192noreply@blogger.com
