This Townsend photo is Dan Lurie who famously once said he knew that some of his favorite physique photographers were gay, but didn't know they were distributing pictures for other gay men to enjoy until much later.  Lurie said that in the end it didn't matter because the photos were excellent and got him and many others into national magazines.  I'm assuming those were non-nudes.
