My source thought this guy was gay for some reason.
I recognized the tail lights immediately. I think this must be an Austin Cambridge or Morris Oxford A55, known as the Austin Cambrian in North America and the Austin Freeway in Australia - under Australian manufacture and made between 1959 and 1965. My father had an Austin Cambridge - in daring cream - as his fleet car. A quick check of the format reveals a New Zealand number plate and it seems to be a right-hand drive, NZ driving, as Britain and Australia, on the left. I would date the swimwear to the mid-1960s. The only thing we don't know is from which island this debonair Kiwi came. Elementary, my dear Watson.
