If this style looks familiar, it's because George Platt Lynes did it 45 years before Robert Giard took his turn at it in 1984. And a couple of other good photographers did it in between, fwiw. Having said all that, I have to add that I really do like Mr. Giard's take on it. The model is Michael Lynch.
