Interesting assortment
I find the assorted nature of the men and activity here to be very interesting.
In the summer of 1977 there was a massive blackout in New York. In the news coverage, a news helicopter flew in over the pier and started to zoom in and the commentator said whoops looks like we’re a little too close. I think they zoomed in on the fun naked men were having.
I spent a lot of time in NYC in the late 70s and early 80s, but never went to the Piers. I even had a job offer, but decided to move to Atlanta instead.
Suddenly I seem to have become an elder statesmen for the younger crowd who ask what was in like in the day. My answer is always the same "You have no idea!"

DeleteAnother favourite. Brings back a lot of memories of NY which was exciting and dangerous all at the same time. Happy I was there and survived it.
