Exam I

I didn't know they made recruits sign at induction medical exams.

    Perhaps signing for his personal
effects or acknowledging his medical exam. Militaries are a Byzantine beaucracy in their own right.

  2. I have read it is to ensure they are not hiding pre-existing medical conditions that might affect their ability to serve. Should anything go wrong the military wouldn't be held responsible.

    1. I can see that happening during the Great Depression when men would do anything to get a job in the army. When I was being confronted with the draft in 1969, there were a lot of guys faking maladies rather than failing to disclose them. There were even guides distributed on how to flunk the physical.

    2. Trump was probably first in line for that guide.

    3. I suspect Trump just paid a doctor to lie about those bone spurs.
