Wrecked
Our last photo has guys who seem to be dealing with a wrecked floating dock made of oil drums.
I have always loved skinny dipping, and feel bad that I have not had a chance to do any for some years now. I grew up skinny dipping at the Y, and camping with my father. High school and college swimming classes were always naked. But since then, this false modesty has come to rule, and we men must cover our gear when we swim, even in all-male company. What a pity.
I personally think skinny dipping is best in lakes or ponds. The water isn’t rushing. It’s quiet…in nature. Water warm but still refreshing. At night. Moonlight. And men speaking softly with easy laughter and liberal contact. Mmm. Some of my best memories. bns

ReplyDeleteI'm Class of '82, and probably just missed nude swimming at the Y, since it ended around '77. Such a shame!

ReplyDeleteOf course you can't see as much by moonlight, but you do avoid sunburn.
