Ruggers?


Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is a legal move in rugby intended to block a kick.
And if you look closely, you'll see a third hefty player standing behind our stocky-bottomed guy.
There are all sorts of interesting possibilities in an arrangement like that.

  1. Yes, it's rugby, but it's not blocking a kick. It's called a line out. I'm no rugby expert, but I looked it up for my own blog. When the ball goes "into touch" (out of bounds on the side), the two teams line up on a line perpendicular to the side line. The team that didn't send it out of bounds throws the ball back in to a "jumper" (a teammate hoisted up in the air) and the other team tries to block it with their own jumper.
