Scumbeast Introduction

My introduction to this charming young man came from my late friend, Ken Suffolk, aka Mr. Scumbeast.  He sent this photo to me way back in 2012 with one of his catchy captions:

"It is, of course, most important to have the appropriate decorations."

I think I found this fisherman on a French website.

 

Large Groups Day

It's been too long since I did a series featuring larger groups of men, so let's 

get started with the most crowded item in my Wyngate & Bevins collection.

 

Copenhagen

This interesting photo is an all male beauty contest held in Copenhagen in 1909.

 

Mulltiple Bums

There's always that one guy.  This unknown group of men are showing off their shapely bottoms,

but the guy second from far right has turned to show us his face and a hint of something else.

 

Pageant

The Mr. Nude USA pageant was held at the Treehouse Fun Ranch near San Bernadino 

in 1980.  They got a three page foldout in Playgirl, and the winner is below.

 

New Guinea, 1919

A Royal Geographic Society photographer took this photo in Papua New Guinea in 1919.  

The story attached to it was unfairly used to brand these men and others as "cannibals" 

when human flesh consumption was limited to funerary rituals that weren't even always 

practiced.  It was decades before attempts were made to correct the exaggerations.

 

AMG

This is supposed to be a still from one of Bob Mizer's more elaborate posing strap films.

 

Military

Our last large group is said to have been an interwar 

Baltic State military formation out for a swim.

 

Nonplussed

This guy seems a bit nonplussed.  Perhaps he wasn't expecting to have his picture taken.

If so, it would be unusual since nudist gatherings had strict permission rules.

 

Mass Nudity

We rarely see this many naked men at once these days, so it fits my oddity category.

I'm guessing that one or more sports teams are involved here, but that's just a hunch.

Mass Nudity

While there are a few females scattered about, this mostly male group caught my eye.

 

Favorite

Although we might wish for a bit more clarity,

this is hands down my favorite of the day.

I'd love to know the story here.

 

Medallion

I noticed a lot of men with medallions when I was editing my most recent 

nudist male photo acquisitions.  This guy has one larger than most.

 

Corn Field

The citizens of Peaksville became a bit less worried when the people 

Anthony sent to the corn field came back looking like these two.

 

Ribbons

No trophy here, but this handsome and well built young man won 

so many blue ribbons he couldn't hold them all in his hands.
