Richard Locke
Richard Holt Locke (1941-1996) was a ground breaking gay adult film star who became a tireless AIDS activist and advocate before succumbing to the disease himself. Older, hairier, and more masculine than just about anything anyone had seen up to that point, he did a massive reset on the gay porn business. Today I am posting a long overdue series honoring this iconic figure.
Carried Away
Richard Locke is carrying off his unknown (to me anyway) co-star. The butterly tattoo always
seemed a bit incongruous on such a macho porn star, but it didn't put anybody off.
Nice lighting
The photographer either knew something about lighting or got lucky with this one.
This is from the film Forbidden Letters, and I think the other guy is Robert Adams.
Favorite with Matt Harper
This is my favorite of the day, despite the very subdued nudity. Mr. Locke was
quoted as saying that he felt a real connection with a few of his co-stars.
Perhaps Matt Harper, aka Will Seager, was one of those men.

Richard Locke
The bearard only had a few touches of gray, and the daddy look he became famous for was still nascent, but that is unmistakably Richard Locke on the cover of Mandate in October, 1979. He did a photo spread on erotic massage that apparently did not show him frontally nude We all know Mr. Locke best from watching him on VHS tape in the 80s, but this early appearance is interesting.
