Chubby Day, Part 2 - Swimmers

Part Two of chubby day features men at swimming locations, mostly beaches.  This gentleman was a member of the Brighton Swim Club at an early 20th Century New Years Day swim.

The Brighton Swimming Club . . . in the Winter

The Brighton Swimming Club is known for its cold weather forays into the chilly waters of the English Channel.  (More than a few members have actually swum the Channel for that matter.)  Anyway, it's a bit chilly in Hawaii today, so here is some early 20th Century winter swim action for our Wednesday lagniappe G-rated series.  We start with this 1910 photo which included a dog.

This 1929 photo in the snow lists all the club members brave enough to have a go in the snow.

The overcoats on the non-swimmers tell me this was yet another cold weather event for the Brighton Swimming Club.

This one is dated March 21, 1891 when it would still be quite chilly.  Edited:  See comments.

It's a bit early for a New Years picture, but it fits today's theme.  For some reason, I find the gentleman at left front in this 1913 photo to be quite fetching.
