Today we look at some nudist male pairs, starting with these two attractive fellows.

These two seem to be having a strategy conference.

I don't have a clue as to what these two might be doing, other than the fact 

that they are wearing sports shoes and seem to be on a lined field.

I think these two might be on a dock somewhere.

The guy at right looks like an employee I had 40 years ago.

 

Fur Factor Day, Part 1 - Nude Models

Today we're having a double feature on that ever popular theme, the hairy guy.

I'm sure that whoever took this photograph somehow knew a guy in Belgium would go 

into a fit of joy when he finally got to see it.  Trust me.  I know about these things.

Also, I have to admit to being quite fond of this one myself.

 

Not the usual

I find this mode unusual for some reason I can't quite explain.

 

Beaver? Okaaaaay . . .

This guy did not come out of the Cleaver household.

 

Fur Factor Day, Part 2 - Hairy Bodybuilders

Yes, friends, there was once a time when bodybuilders weren't grotesque hairless freaks.

Part two of our double feature takes us to those better days, starting with this handsome guy.

This is Louis Hostin, the 1932 weightlifting champion of France.

 

Oh, my!

 

I have to say that this fellow is far and away my favorite of all todays photos, nude or otherwise.

Singlet

Those of you into singlets will certainly appreciate this photo, but those shoes just do not go with

 the outfit.  Miss Magnolia Thunderpussy would have something sharp to say about that.

 

A reputable vintage photo resale website says this unidentified 

trophy winner was photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles.

Leaves me wondering if Mr. Bellas eventually got him to take his pants off.

 

Five by Bruce

For Saturday, we'll visit with five of Bruce of LA's models who may not be household names, even among many collectors, but who deserve our attention.  We start with Jack Harte

I don't know if that's a rope or a whip Harry Domec is holding.  (With Bruce of LA, it could have been either.)  What I do know is that Harry has a fine derriere.  We'll see his other side in a future series.

I find the lighting exceptional in this Bruce of LA photo of John Nogar.

Carl Savoie has a self confident look in this picture.

 

Dick

This photo of Dick Spero was made a Bruce Bellas' rural property outside LA.

 

19th Century Artists' Studies

As a prelude for our Friday art series, I'm posting some more photos from my collection of what are believed to be 19th photo studies for artists.  I like the way this model looks straight at us.

 

Creation

This looks like a creation scene stolen from the Sistine Chapel or some such.

 

Graceful

This graceful pose may have served some artist(s) well.

 

Very early beefcake

I get the feeling that this was some very early beefcake/borderline porn,

but I found it in a group of artists' studies.  Go figure.

 

Achilles

I think this is a version of the Achilles legend.

 

Friday Art - When less can be more

I'm taking a different tack with our Friday art, going for some 19th Century 

semi-nudes that still have impact in terms of masculinity.  Several of these 

are of middle aged men as well, including this 1863 work by Loudet.

 

Reni

This is "Hercules on the Pyre" by Guido Reni.

 

Lenepveu

Jules-Eugene Lenepveu  - Half Nude Model, 1845.

This has the most understated nudity, but sublime lighting.

 

Siemiradzki

"In the Painter’s Atelier" is from 1865 by Henryk Siemiradzki.

 

Benedito

This handsome man was painted by Manuel Benedito.

Anyone know what he's holding?

 

Almost Porn

It's well known that I don't post action porn, but I thought that it might be interesting to post some photos which at least seem to be moving in that direction.  We'll start with a bondage trio.

 

Just lying there

If you look at the positioning on this one, you'll see that there's not really anything going on.

I do suppose they might have gotten serious later in the shoot, though.

 

Puzzler

I've puzzled over this photo for years because I can't seem to date it, among other things.

Autocorrect doesn't do anything for the color, making me think it was hand tinted.

And then there's that foot in the lower left of the photo.  Odd indeed.

 

Home life

I wish I knew more about this interesting domestic scene.

 

Worried?

He knows what he's supposed to do, but looks uncertain.

 

Brian E. Day

Last week I posted some donated photos that came to me complements of Bryan B.  Today it's Brian E.'s turn.  Yes, I am blessed to get lots of yummy pictures from Bryan and Brian.  Brian E. is also the commentator and contributor formerly known as the_cham_cham.  Confused yet?  You ought to see the system I had to create to track what came from whom, lol.  Both of these great guys have helped with naming more than a few of my "unknown" models.  One of those would be Jim Hendershot, a nice furry model shown above whom I've posted on more than one occasion as unknown.

 

Al

Although Brian didn't have any full frontal nudes of Al Kaskey, I was overjoyed to find out his name and to have the even dozen photos of Mr. Kaskey that Brian sent me.  Expect to see more.

The grass mat and corrugated metal backdrop tell us that this is by Bruce of LA.

 

Ken

I made this composite of two photos of Ken Winstead that Brian sent me.  Both are by Don Whitman of Western Photography Guild, and although the poses are quite similar, they impress on differing levels.

 

Chris

Chris Averkiou looks quite impressive in this beautifully lighted picture.

 

David Jones

AMG did a whole lot of work with guys on motorcycles, but David Jones has to be one of the very best.  Brian and another viewer knew his name, but Brian sent me this photo and ten others.

 

Gregg

I don't know who Willard was, but Gregg Palmer 

was a model with attitude and quite a bit of fur.

 

Jean-Marie

I already had several photos of Jean-Marie Negri, but now I know who he is 

and have twice as many thanks to Brian.  Photo by Jean Ferrero.

 

Chuck

Chuck Johnson posed for Bob Mizer in a jockstrap for this great picture.  Brian kindly sent 

me half a dozen other pictures of him that I will post later.  I really like this one.

 

Derek

This is Derek Jahn, a model who appeared in beefcake magazines around 1970.

I think he first appeared here in a "boy next door" series early on.

 

Gordon . . . or is it Rick?

This AMG photo was labeled Gordon O'Brien, but Brian found the same guy under the name of Rick Pagan.  Either way, he's easy on the eyes.  And once again, many thanks to Brian E., aka the_cham_cham, for his help in naming models and generous sharing of their photos.

 

Lanky Nudists

For Tuesday, we have some lanky nudists, starting with a young man

who may or may not be holding his bathing suit.  Or is it a towel?

 

On the fence

Here we see a guy who gets the lanky concept across even when sitting on a fence.

 

Skeet shooter

This guy manages to be a bit beefy and lanky at the same time.  In case you're wondering, he and some friends were skeet shooting in what looks like rattlesnake country.  Boots were a good idea.

 

Stretch

Something tells me that this guy was nicknamed Stretch.

 

Shower

I've never figured out if the makeshift shower is somehow connected to the office.
