Roy Dean Nudes

Roy Dean Nudes was a 1977 publication that I only recently discovered.  Although I don't have the entire contents, I do have enough good images for two 10-piece series, starting today.

 

Palm Trunk

One of Roy Dean's favorite spots for location shooting was Hawaii,

and I think this model was here leaning on a palm trunk.

 

In the sand

I assume that this is the same model in both shots made in the sand.

 

Blue

I don't know what Mr. Dean used for the blue background here,

but it makes me think of the blue waters around Hawaii.

 

Up Against the Wall

I think this is a photo of the photo rather than a scan because 

of the way the pages seem curled at the edges.

 

Regular

This model appeared in several Roy Dean publications.

 

Window

I wish I knew this model's name so I could look up more of his work.  Anyone?

I really like the way the ivy frames the model in this one.

It's Roy Dean day, and we start with a photo from the January 1983 edition of In Touch.

This Asian-American model appeared in a number of Roy Dean's photos.

 

Sun bleached

This model either has sun bleached hair or an artful bottle job.

 

Surfboard

This fellow seems to be launching himself on a surfboard.

 

Double doors

Mr. Dean captured this model emerging through double doors.

Or is he inviting us in?

 

Knees in the sand

I hope that sand wasn't too hot when this well built model kneeled in it.

 

Hawaii

Roy Dean did a lot of work in Hawaii, and this picture is a good example.

It is not, however, from his book The Dean's List - Hawaii.

 

Gordon Grant

My source said this cowboy looking out from the shadows is Gordon Grant.
