Men and their Dogs Day

Our theme today is Men and their dogs.  We start with a man and a Great Dane

who may have been photographed on The Piers in NYC.

 

Eye to eye

The man and the dog are making direct eye contact.

 

Beach I

These two are having fun on the beach, but my own dog, Noah, is afraid of the ocean.

He thinks the roaring surf is a huge angry dog growling at him.

 

Built

This well built man (and his dog) may be the same ones in the last picture today.

 

Brindle

Google says Greyhounds come in brindle, so this must be one.

The model's name is Paul Gibson.

 

Nudist

 

I found this one in a nudist magazine, and I have to say that the man outshines the dog.

My dog licks the air like that when I scratch his rump.

Hunter

My great uncle had several dogs like this that he claimed were hunting dogs,

but nobody remembers seeing them ever help catch anything.

 

Beach II

This retriever has his eyes on the prize.  My dog Noah will fetch a stick or a toy, but he won't 

give it back to me without a tug of war.  From his point of view, that's the best part.

 

Blond

The dog seems to be giving the blond a "love nip."

 

Doberman

Closing out the set with an attractive fellow and a Doberman.

I once knew a Doberman named Rosie who had her own room.

 

Man with dog

One of my dogs loves the ocean, and the other is terrified of it.

The one above certainly seems to like it.

Here we have two moderately hairy GIs and their five puppies.

 

All Color Nudist Beach Day

Nudist publications not only pushed the boudaries for male frontal nudity in the 1960s, but they also pioneered the extensive use of color photography.  Today we look at ten examples of nudist males at the beach in color, starting with a man with a very cute little dachshund.

 

Curly and Friends

Curly Howard, aka Jerome Lester Horowitz, was my favorite of the three stooges, and (believe it or not) one of my nascent gay boy crushes.  He loved dogs and appears with two of his favorites here.

 

Harry and Friend

Above we have Thomas' Eakins dog Harry, and below we see Harry with another dog from the Eakins household.  I've seen them described as spaniels and setters, but either way they are find boys.

I featured a photo of the black one sleeping in a past series.

 

Man and dog

The dog is looking straight at the camera while the man is walking away.

If this wasn't a lucky accident, it had to be hard to set up.

 

Golden Oldie

 Our final surfing photo is literally a "golden oldie" featuring five golden retrievers and a nicely built surf bum showing us his bum.  I first posted this one in 2018, and the dog lovers went all happy.
