Not the greatest quality, but some of us enjoy amateur group shots.

Today is Amateur Day, and we start with a leggy man beside a body of water.

Gold Coast

Here we have some 1970s men outside Chicago's Gold Coast bar.

 

Ordinary

This guy would have made one of my "ordinary average guy" series had it not been for one thing.

 

Landscape

Whoever took this one put more emphasis on the landscape than the man.

 

Professional?

Although I found this among a group labeled as amateur photos,

the guy looks like a model I've seen somewhere.

 

Date

If these two didn't start the evening on a date,

I think they have one now.

 

Muddy water

I don't think I would swim in that muddy water,

and this guy seems to have his doubts, too.

 

Jumbled selfie

I think the last photo in the series is jumbled attempt at a mirror selfie.

The permed hair is pure 1976.

 

Camper

This is apparently a candid shot of a camper outside his puptent.

 

Snapshot

My source said this was a snapshot, and I think the lighting is remarkable for an amateur.

 

USMC

This is supposed to have been taken on the sneak in a U.S. Marine Corps locker room 

in the 1980s.  Based on those haircuts, I'd say there's a fair chance that is true.

It's amateur day, and we start with two gardeners digging a hole.

 

Happy

Too bad the quality is so bad.  He looks like he might have a nice smile.

Of course, there's another feature that's easier to see.

Here we have a showoff.

 

Wagon

I'd love to know what this naked guy was doing 

climbing onto an old horse drawn wagon.

 

Poofy Hair

This fellow has poofy hair . . . in more ways that one.
