This is Jack Fontan as photographed by George Platt Lynes.
Fontan was in the Joshua Logan production of South Pacific as one of the rambunctious sailors. Logan made Fontan wear very brief shorts with no underwear underneath! It was said the theater management was upset because at certain times the audience would get a glimpse of Fontan's manhood. Logan told them "if they don't want to see Jack's balls, they can have their money back"....:)
