Frederick Leighton drew this older model when he was a young man in the early 1850's.

  1. An older model but still possessing a magnificent musculature. That torso almost breathes...Not easy to hold the left leg in that position without it sliding away. Foot nestled in a hollow and hence the tense calf muscle and slightly twitching big toe. The model looks down, as always avoiding the artists eye-line. Slightly bored..I'd guess a one hour pose..
