Dr. Paul Richer (1849-1933) was a French professor of anatomy and art instructor who published several books of diagrams and photographs which were used as aids by artists. We start our series with this portly man whose image has been marked for some purpose unknown to me.
The marks could be to help art students understand how to draw different parts of the body. Perhaps drawing the lines on paper might be the first step in learning to draw anatomy.
