Riebicke took some of his best photos on this terrace with the interesting fence/rail.
I can't figure out, however, why every man has his own medicine ball when the usual practice was to toss it back and forth or around a circle. Maybe they threw them in the air and caught them.
I think I have seen pix of people throwing the ball up and catching it. But this could simply be a posed photo of males taking a break or just having a bull session.

ReplyDeleteI believe the railing is made of precast concrete panels, like the open patterned concrete blocks popular in mid-century construction.
