Pat Milo Outdoors

In a recent Pat Milo series I commented that he didn't do much outdoor work.  That led to an email request for more, of course, and I'm happy to oblige.  I went back and did some comparisons, and my surmise seems correct, as he has far, far fewer than fellow LA area masters Bruce and Bob Mizer.  So I'm posting six today, starting with this shot of Ray Copland in what appears to be an autumn garden with a column that might indicate a portico or courtyard.  That odd thing hanging from a vine perplexes me, by the way.  Anybody have a clue as to what it might be?

  1. When I enlarged the picture, the object turned out to be a cluster of eggplants or squash. Which begs the question, "Why?". As for the male...he's a keeper. Is he lightly oiled?

    1. Veggies, eh? I don't have a clue as to why either. And I don't think he's oiled.

  2. I think the odd thing you describe is a bunch of hanging (dry) gourds. The potential reasons for their presence could be decorative, wind chimes or bird houses for purple martins that control insects.

    1. It just occurred to me that there might be a subliminal or symbolic relationship between the gourds and the model's anatomy.
