Roy Dean
In the 1970s, Roy Dean was one of those photographers who managed to do art and beefcake at the same time . . . and do them both well. This is from his 1975 book, A World of Nudes.
True, but it might have been intentional. At the time, such material was not as common as today, and Roy Dean may have meant us to have to stop and take a careful look at the piece. I know I did when I first saw it. Mr. Dean gets his own series here in a week or so, btw.
His handsome body fades into the background in what could have been a really great picture.
