A medium sized European museum recently published a group of photos identified as by Louis Igout, one of my favorite 19th C. photographers. His work is sometimes confused with that of Hermann Heid, and this find moved some of my collection out of the uncertain column, as well as providing quite a few "new" items. We start with an incongruously seated boxer. Haven't seen that before.
Wow. Yet another excellent series, Jerry. As you would expect, very much my sort of thing. Thank you. This is certainly an innovative pose.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the series, David. The pose is indeed unique.
