Military Day
Today we visit the troops in a variety of settings. We'll start with a Signal Corps photo of a mobile shower unit. The leggings and the architecture make me think WWI France.
I believe there were Americans stationed in the Northeast of France, so that makes sense. I did a term paper on WWI at university and still remember bits of it.
A 1919 document listing Signal Corps photos includes photo #19098, so it is certainly World War I. The photo is listed under "miscellaneous" for the 26th Infantry Division, known as the Yankee Division. It indeed served in northeast France.
I would agree, Jerry, although I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it is probably in the North-East perhaps heading into the Champagne.
