Rather than show a fancy portrait of a high ranking Revolutionary War officer, I've chosen to use an artists authenticated depiction of a Patriot militia man. While Washington and his officers did have a decent standing army, these part time soldiers were often the backbone of victory. Those tan and green clothes made a far more difficult target than a red coat or even a blue jacket.
