The Scumbeast Collection - Ken's captions
My lamented late friend Ken Suffolk, aka Mr. Scumbeast, often used the captions of his
postings on Ipernity as the file names for his images. Today we'll look at seven mostly
witty examples, starting with "There'll be blue birds over . . . "
I don't think for one moment Dame Vera Lynn had this in mind in 1942 but I'm glad Mr Scumbeast did. As a boy, I was in fact flown up the Channel in a prop plane at 12,000, the average height at which the Spitfire flew during the Battle of Britain. It was quite an experience.
