Perched on a column with a sword in hand, Arman Ozon makes quite an impressive image.
He won the title of Mr. New York City of 1946 and appears below on the cover of Your Physique
in a swimsuit he had to have bought from Glenn Bishop and Richard Alan.
Two fabulous images from Lon. Ed Fury, of course, bought his "Sun Briefs" from a certain Maureen of Los Angeles! But then, I think I would have bought anything from Glenn Bishop...
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Glenn and Maureen had a rivalry going?
DeleteThe image is from a magazine cover published in 1946, so Bishop had nothing to do with that suit Ozon is wearing. In the 40's twist tops were popular with women, so somebody got the idea to apply it to men's swimwear back then....:)
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the dates don't work for Glenn Bishop.
Deletearman ozon, for et uvanlig navn. arman hores fransk ut og ozon hores tyrkisk ut.
ReplyDeletehva var hans etnisitet ? *osloson
I wondered about that myself, but could not find any information. Arman is also used in Russia, and Russia borders Turkey, so maybe there's a connection. Also, he was from New York City, where any and all ethnic groups can be found along with an infinite number of combinations through intermarriage.
