A serious looking Luis Santiago posed for Lon on a toppled and broken column
for this photo which is very similar to the last picture in today's series. A close look,
however, showed me that the models' left arms are not posed the same.
And yes, color work by Lon is pretty rare. I hope it isn't faked.
I have always thought this was a clever example of "less is more". It is not until you study this image properly that you realize the surreptitious level of eroticism it captures.
ReplyDeleteLon was clever that way.
DeleteThis color foto of Santiago looks authentic to me, judging by the rendition of the color. Such a classic image by Lon, harkening back to the ideals of manhood in ancient Greece and Sparta....:)
ReplyDeleteMr. Santiago has a skin tone that a modern day spray tan artist would kill to duplicate.
DeleteAimez la couleur, comme une image de l'antiquite, cherie et precieuse. Toutes les photos de la chronique sont bien faites par Lon, elles montrent son talent.-Merci

You're welcome. Lon is another of those photographers whose work is sometimes underappreciated.
