This appears to be on the diving platform at some ornate indoor swimming venue. It puzzles me that the cameras are pointed away from the model, but then again, the camera that took the photo was pointed at the whole group. The model looks bored and detached to me.
Well, these photographers do take their time and make the most awful fuss. Here we have a photographer taking photographs of photographers. Goodness knows how long it took to set up. Hence one of the last gaffes of His Royal Highness the Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh: "Just take the f~@#ing photo!" - as a nation was highly amused.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend from New Orleans who met Prince Philip at a conference in Edinburgh that both attended. Making small talk, HRH asked him where he was from, and when he replied "New Orleans," the Prince asked how he had come through Hurricane Katrina the year before. My friend explained that his house was in one of the few neighborhoods that was on high ground and had suffered no damage.
Delete"Oh, how high is that?"
"Ten feet above sea level."
Loud guffaw from HRH.
Every head in the reception hall then turned toward them, and they both just grinned.
The stories are legion. Doubly royal - unlike his wife - and with a gruff sense of humour made in the Royal Navy, I miss him more than I miss her.
