Ed Schlieffelin (1847-1897) was born in the Pennsylvania mining country, but headed West as a young man to seek his fortune. And man, did he find it. A very successful prospector, he discovered the silver deposit that led to the founding of Tombstone, Arizona and all the Western history attached to the place. Ed became millionaire, and he cleaned up quite well, as we see below:
