Australians
This photo is a personal favorite, and I found it on an Australian website.
This is a photo of Australian soldiers taken during World War II at Coomalie Creek Airfield. It was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) airfield built in 1942 in what is now the locality of Coomalie Creek, Northern Territory, Australia during World War II. It was used to launch air raids against the Japanese in New Guinea and Indonesia and was bombed multiple times by the Japanese. The Australian government kept an army in Australia in case of a Japanese invasion. During the war, the Australian public heard nothing of Japanese air raids in the Northern Territory and Darwin.
