Personal favorite
This is one of my all-time favorite photos. The setting is Finland (again) in 1941.
If a person gets their body thoroughly heated with a hot bath, they can briefly step into the cold. I have some experience with this, but not for the invigorating feeling, just my Saturday night bath, carrying out the water!
My Dad took me to his health spa when I was in my teens, and taught me the joys of going from sauna to cold shower to sauna to cold shower. Amazed me how the body reacted to that. In my 20s, I went to another branch of that spa company where it had an ice plunge right outside of the sauna. Using them back and forth was a hoot.
When I was in my 30s, I won a gift certificate at work to go to one of those spa type hetero health clubs. I was astonished to turn around in the changing room and come face to face with my very handsome doctor. Being the jovial type, he said, "Well, now you get to see ME naked for a change."
I went to a Y and ran into a naked former boss. One of the finest specimens I'd ever seen. He wanted to chat while he was there in all of his nude finery, and I could barely stay conscious. I'm pretty sure he knew my condition.
Great photo! Was only in Finland once. Saw lots of people swimming nude and sunning nude. Didn’t phase anyone. I was probably the only taking notice of the nudity (and enjoying it).
