Kent
I'm left wondering if the model for Kent on a Slide used makeup to achieve that pallid color.
The digital image you have is quite washed out compared to the ''original'' as published in the Edition Stemmle book ''Arthur Tress'' published in 1995.
I'm not surprised, as this happens on a regular basis. Sometimes it's a bad scan, and sometimes it intentional alteration by someone up the line from me. Museum websites are usually true to the orginal, but even they ocasionally have scans or digital photos that may be off. I generally disclose any alterations I make, unless it's something trivial such as cropping out a frame.
"The Male of the Species" has even better reproductions than the Stemmle book. It was a limited edition art gallery publication. Kent is not quite so washed out and you can clearly see the hair on his chest.
