Rare G-rated
This guy in bright blue pedal pushers in the rare Old Reliable G-rated
photo is unknown, to me at least. The sofa is a very beige number.
This is Butch Berger. He got his start at AMG, then moved on to OR in the mid 80s where he became a somewhat regular for a few years. This particular photo dates around 1988. David Hurles had moved up to classy looking apartments with a fireplace and some very 80s looking furniture -- including this oversized sectional.
As for Butch, no one would ever call him a fashionista. But this was his outfit that day. The only positive thing: he would definitely stand out as he walked down Santa Monica Blvd. Just saying.
Back in the day a friend had something similar to this but it was a salmon pink colour which this appears to be also. Ice cream colours everywhere it seemed for awhile in the 80's. The Miami Vice look as I recall.

Thanks for the ID and the interesting details, James! Yes, he would stand out on the Boulevard.
DeleteClothes and sofa from a different time. Wow.

ReplyDeleteThe ice cream Miami Vice color thing was big for a time, but they never got quite as vivid as this on the TV show.
