A few weeks ago, a viewer (you know who you are) commented about 1954 being a special year, so of course here we are today with a series focused on it. We start with a 1954 Bruce of LA photo often listed as Cal Chess and James Schwertley, but I think Cal might really be David Fitzen.
I've always seen it listing him as Fitzen. Beautiful picture.

ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but Cal Chess is often misnamed David Fitzen in these shots with James Schwertley. He's certainly not the David Fitzen who posed with Walt Needham. If needed, I have a magazine photo of Cal Chess where he is captioned as such and the photo is credited to Bruce.
