This repeat post from over five years ago is from a Londe motion study done in conjuction with Dr. Charcot, the head of the research wing of a major Paris hospital. I'm putting it up again because I like it, and also because I've learned since that this is Dr. Charcot's son, and not the doctor himself.
Jean Martin Charcot was a famous French neurologist. He is considered the founder of modern neurology and his name is associated with 15 eponymous diseases eg Charcot Marie Tooth disease. He died in 1893. I found the idea of a naked Prof Charcot kicking a ball rather incongruous with his reputation.
ReplyDeleteWhile you have a point, other scientists of that era such as Muybridge did not hesitate to be photographed nude. If this is indeed the son, I do see a resemblance.

ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the set, Pat! At least I can use all the special ethanol free gasoline in my car and get some use out of it. Popeye's was worth it for the biscuit alone, never mind the extra spicy chicken.
