Ken Clark

Despite playing Stew Pot in the mega-hit movie South Pacific, Ken Clark ending up doing
mostly B movies and spaghetti westerns.  He always looked great doing them, however.

  1. Stew Pot could stir a pot !
Joshua Logan must have got a gander of Ken Clark’s photo by Spartan and had to have him for South Pacific….:)

    1. MMVB has a different version of this photo-- not as good quality, but with a wider crop that carries the signature "Constantine" in the lower right corner, said to be an AKA for Spartan of Hollywood along with "Konstantin."

Since no pro photographer takes only one shot in a modeling session, I can't help wondering where the other shots from this session wound up.

Especially since Ken Clark is clearly fully nude here, and Spartan did at least one full-frontal set posted to MMVB.

    2. Thanks for confirming the Spartan origin.

  2. Indeed, how the heck did that bulge make it on to the screen in 1958?

    1. Technically, the bulge didn't violate the code, and the studio apparently chose not to self censor, which happened a lot back then.

    2. In the low-budget sci-fi flick 12 TO THE MOON (1959), Clark not only has a nice scene in a towel but wears an oddly form-fitting "spacesuit" that displays prominent "moose knuckle" in his bulge.
