Our last Roy Dean photo of Blain Lamoureaux is said by some to be an outtake from the Honcho photo session because it does not usually appear as part of the larger group. Not that's it's very important, but if anyone has the June, 1978 issues or simply knows, please comment.
Thanks for a fantastic post, Jerry. Truly inspirational. Big Dude

DeleteBlain is a delight. Feeling remorseful for all the wonderful porn I havd discarded!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to that.
DeleteBlain Lamoureaux played football for the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1973-1981. He was kicked off the Calgary Stampeders team for posing in Honcho. Thank you for ensuring he is remembered by all...Canadians included. Our gay history matters!
ReplyDeleteMr. Lamoureaux played in the CFL for three seasons (one at Saskatchewan,, two at Toronto) after appearing in Honcho, so if he did get fired he was quickly hired. His coach at the time later sort of shrugged off the incident and did not mention him getting dropped for it, but a Calgary gay history blog entry says he got fired. My own research did not produce anything definitive beyond that blog.
DeleteI had this issue when it came out, sad to say it is long gone. Really nice seeing it again after all these years. He was quite the fantasy for a lot of us back in the day. Thanks for this one Jerry.
